The Time in Between

In Between was inspired by Francesca Battistelli's song "Time in Between."  Our lives are made up primarily of times in between, times breaking up when we feel "good" and settled and comfortable.  In-between times are like deserts.  We don't like in-between times; we want to jump to the next thing right away.  When we are little, we want to be adults; out of college we want a job right away; if work is bad, we want to quit; when we want something, we want it now.  So often we think only of the destination without enjoying the journey.  But when we look back, we realize that the journey is often the best part about getting to the destination because it's when we learn and grow the most.  If we can learn to see these in-between times as blessings instead of curses, we can enjoy them.

My goal is to capture through photographs the moments of every time in between.
